I live in northern Park Slope, Brooklyn. I quite like it here. My belief is wherever you live you should commit pretty hard to the area. There is lifelong payoff to putting down roots. I love where I live for a couple reasons:
- It's near to 10+ train lines, the vast majority of NYC is within an hour of where I live. It's easy for me to get places, but more importantly it's easful for people to come to our home. Friends almost never decline an invitation due to inconvenience, friends that are visiting are extremely hype to stay with us, this minimizes the activation energy required to see all the the many many wonderous things in NYC
- It's dense but neighborly. It's dense enough that there are plenty of people who live nearby to befriend but not too dense at to seem anonymous.
- It's near parks and a clibming gym. I live in my physical body, I want it to be easy to move it in the ways it wants to be moved.
I always want to meet neighbors, so if you live in this map and you think we might like eachother please ask me on a walk:
[insert app that has a map of the area that goes blurry at the boundaries I select and shows other markers of people who I have met. the idea is I want a map that people can move aroudn that only shows the parts that I say are nearby, then people can click on the map which will then direct them to a form that sends me an email with the date time and activity they want to do, this form also incldues their location, the idea here is if we actually meet up then the iven coordinates they selected will show up on the map and that way it can grow over time to show all the places with friendsly people.]
